Covid-19: 2,605 new cases in Ireland, with 16 Covid patients at LUH

ANOTHER 2,605 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed by Irish health officials today.

The Department of Health says that there are now 487 Covid-19 patients in hospitals.

Of those, 99 people are receiving treatment in intensive care settings.

The National Public Health Emergency Team reported 67 deaths in the past week, bringing Ireland’s total to 5,436.

There were 16 Covid-19 patients at Letterkenny University Hospital last night – up from 13 the previous day. As of 8pm last night, there are four confirmed Covid-19 patients in ICU at the hospital.

The latest county data shows that Donegal’s incidence of infection is the 10th highest in the country.

The 14-day incidence rate in Donegal stood at 593 per 100,000 on 26th October. The national average was 577.9 per 100,000. A total of 944 cases of Covid-19 have been detected in Donegal in the two weeks up to Tuesday.
