The finalists have been announced for Donegal’s Community Recognition Awards 2021.
DLDC is hosting a Community Recognition Awards ceremony to acknowledge and reward the work of the community and voluntary sector.
An open call for nominations was issued and members of the public were invited to nominate Local Community Groups, Social Enterprises and Individuals who they felt deserved acknowledgement and recognition for the great work that they do.
According to Margaret Larkin, DLDC Community Development Manager “We are delighted with the response to our Open Call for the recognition awards with a total of 107 nominations received from all across Donegal. Our panel of judges had a very difficult job in selecting the finalists, as each of the nominations we received were of a very high standard, they are all winners in the true sense of the word. We hope that our awards go a little way to recognising and rewarding the huge contribution the community and voluntary sector makes in our community. We want to let people see how valuable their contribution is, to let them know that this work does not go unnoticed”.
