A driver has been fined after being caught speeding in Burnfoot this morning.
The motorist was doing 121KPH in an 80KPH zone.
Gardaí said visibility in the area was poor at the time due to fog.
The driver now faces a fine of €80 and 3 penalty points.
Buncrana Roads Policing Unit conducted a speed check later in the morning on the N13 and report that all drivers were found to be driving within the speed limit of 100KPH.
“Visibility was still quite poor at the time and we thank you for driving safely, within the speed limit and with regard for the weather conditions,” a garda spokesperson said.
