ANOTHER 2,966 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed by Irish health officials today.
The Department of Health says that there are now 470 Covid-19 patients in hospitals.
Of those, 92 people are receiving treatment in intensive care settings.
There were 21 Covid-19 patients at Letterkenny University Hospital last night – up from 17 the previous day. As of 8pm last night, there are four confirmed Covid-19 patients in ICU at the hospital.
The latest county data shows that Donegal’s incidence of infection is the 10th highest in the country.
The 14-day incidence rate in Donegal stood at 633.2 per 100,000 on 28th October. The national average was 611.5 per 100,000. A total of 1008 cases of Covid-19 have been detected in Donegal in the two weeks up to Thursday.
