Local families in Donegal are being invited to support children in direct provision through a charity initiative.
‘Let’s Match Mums’ is searching for local woman who would like to pass on essential items and toys to mothers in need.
The national organisation said they have run out of volunteers to help children of specific ages in Donegal.
They are specifically seeking people to support a boy aged 12, a girl aged 8, and a girl aged 4.
With more than 7,000 people in direct provision and emergency accommodation in Ireland, Let’s Match Mums helps mothers in communities donate high-quality clothes, toys, nappies and other baby equipment to other mums. You do not need to be a mother to apply. Anyone who would like to get involved can support.
More than 2,000 mums in Ireland have been matched through the initiative so far.
