Letterkenny Institute of Technology (LYIT) is a third level college located in Co. Donegal.
It has two modern campuses in Letterkenny and Killybegs, employs 350 staff and has almost 5,000 students from all over Ireland and 30 different countries.
In addition, LYIT’s CoLab, is home to 60 client companies, employing 180 staff. The college has an ambitious and progressive ethos, and has expanded its course curriculum to include over 100 programmes across 3 faculties, many up to Master’s Level.
The Minister has recently confirmed designation of Technological University status to LYIT with its partners, IT Sligo and GMIT, from early 2022. Marketing and Communications Officer (Permanent whole-time)
The Marketing & Communications Officer will have responsibility for creating positive brand recognition amongst all Letterkenny Institute of Technology audiences in Ireland and abroad, increasing the Institute’s profile across a broad diversity of students and employers, and ensuring the efficient performance of the Institute’s marketing and communications function.
Salary scale: €49,041 – €59,914

Schools Engagement Officer (Permanent whole-time)
The Schools Engagement Officer will have responsibility for Schools Engagement and Student Recruitment. The role will involve engaging with the Marketing Manager, Marketing Officer, Faculties and Departments in joint communications and promotional initiatives.
Salary scale: €44,133 – €52,925

Student Counsellor (Permanent whole-time)
The main role of the appointee will be to provide one-to-one counselling help and support on a confidential basis to individual students who are experiencing personal difficulties which may be affecting their studies.
Salary Scale: New Entrants Scale: €53,021 – €90,028

Assistant Registrar (Permanent whole-time)
The Assistant Registrar will have responsibility for the Quality Office under the direction of the Vice President for Academic Affairs and Registrar and will have specific responsibility for implementing and reporting on academic strategy, policy and quality.
Salary Scale: SLII: €82,119 – €105,578

Information Technology Operations Manager (2-year fixed-term)
The Information Technology Operations Manager will have operational responsibility for the Institute’s IT Services department. This includes the maintenance of and assisting in the development of academic and administrative information technology and information systems services for the Institute in accordance with Institute’s policy and procedures.

Assistant Instructional Designer (Permanent whole-time)
The Assistant Instructional Designer will have responsibility initially for supporting the Higher Education 4.0 project Instructional Designers. The role includes designing and implementing content, quality checking, editing as well as supporting flexible/online learners on the Virtual Learning Environment. The successful candidate will be based at LYIT. The Higher Education 4.0 is an ambitious, innovative project supported by €12.3M of funding from the Human Capital Initiative (HCI) Pillar 3 call. It is a collaborative project from the members of the Connacht Ulster Alliance (CUA).
Salary scale: €44,133 – €52,925

Communication & Collaboration Systems Integration Project Manager, (CUA) (2-year fixed-term)
The appointee will be responsible for the planning and the management of the integration and merger of the Communication and Collaboration platforms of the Connacht Ulster Alliance (CUA), partner Institutes as the three Institutes become one Technological University. This post can be based in any of the three Institutes, (Letterkenny Institute of Technology, Institute of Technology Sligo or Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology.
