Covid Concern: Cabinet to look at further measures

The Cabinet Committee on Covid-19 will meet today to discuss the rise in Covid-19 cases across the State.

Further measures are “not being ruled out”, An Taoiseach Micheál Martin told RTE News yesterday.

The huge rise in cases has prompted a committee meeting today before a full Cabinet meeting on Tuesday.

Vaccinations have put the country in a much different position this year. The booster campaign is due to be ramped up in the coming months.

More antigen testing is expected to be encouraged, with prices to be subsidised for wider usage.

NPHET has also recommended that remote working is encouraged again.
