Kelsius require a Calibration Technician

Kelsius manufactures, distributes and maintains a system that wirelessly and automatically monitors the temperature and safety of all food products, both hot and cold, as well as medicines, blood samples and other temperature-sensitive pharmaceutical material.

Kelsius improves HACCP compliance, saving time, reducing risk and providing information at your fingertips. HACCP – (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) – is a systematic approach to identifying and controlling hazards that could pose a danger to the preparation of safe food or medicines.

Kelsius is recruiting for the role of Calibration Technician.

This role is based in the Kelsius Factory in Falcarragh, Co Donegal. You will be responsible for assisting in the calibration of various types of sensors, maintenance of electronic and paper calibration records, checking instrumentation accuracy, noting sensors faults and highlighting any issues to management, as well as routine laboratory duties.

This position involves working with in-house calibration software to communicate with and calibrate various types of sensors, thus requires good computer literacy skills. Large volumes of sensors are calibrated every week, requiring good time management and organisational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Calibrating various types of sensors
• Installing sensors on in-house software package
• Processing sensors that have completed calibration
• Careful maintenance of calibration records and uploading calibration certificates
• Assisting in the testing of sensors when required
• Performing regular checks on calibration instrumentation
• Noting any sensor faults or issues observed
Skills & Experience Required:
• Strong time management skills, with the demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Good computer skills, an ability to learn and understand new software packages
• A good attention to detail
• Excellent record keeping skills
• Ability to learn as you go and develop quickly
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office
• Highly driven with enthusiasm to meet targets and to cope under demanding pressure
• Self-motivated, flexible and adaptable
• Ability to both, work of own initiative and as part of a team
• 3rd Level Technical Qualification
