Covid cases across Co Donegal have shot up in line with the rest of the country.
Figures released show 1,820 cases in the previous fourteen days up until November 15th.
The 14 day incidence rate for the virus in Donegal now stands at 1,143 per 100,000 people.
It is among the worst in the country but behind other counties such as Louth, Leitrim, Westmeath and Carlow.
Community groups are now rethinking their Christmas plans.
It follows projections from the Government that the virus rate is set to rise in the community before Christmas.
Letterkenny and Ballybofey have already cancelled their plans for a public switch-on of their Christmas lights.
