A special Mass will be held in Buncrana this morning to mark UN ‘World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims.’

The event will coincide with commemorations to remember the victims of road traffic crashes and their families taking place around the country.

“This will be a day for us all to remember those who have sadly lost their lives and also those who have been seriously injured on the roads,” a local Garda spokesperson said.

This morning’s mass will be held at 11 am in St. Mary’s Church, Cockhill, Buncrana.
