A group of farmers from the Inishowen peninsula will feature on RTE’s Ear to the Ground this week.
This Thursday’s programme will feature leaders of the the Inishowen Uplands European Innovation Partnership – EIP.
Farmers have been subjected to decades of EU Environmental Schemes with mixed results. Now one group of farmers in Donegal are trying a different approach by designing their own scheme to suit their own land and livestock.
Inishowen Uplands farmers have switched to farming the land in a sustainable manner, which brings a multitude of benefits for all sectors.
Their demonstration farm in Redcastle runs innovative agroforestry, diverse swards and biodiversity-friendly farming techniques.
Members will be sharing their ways during RTE’s Ear to the Ground on Thursday 25th November 2021, RTÉ One – 7pm.
