Four of Donegal’s seven local electoral areas are reporting reduced Covid-19 cases this week.

The latest government data shows that no areas of Donegal are in the Top 10 worst-affected areas of the State this week.

North Inishowen/Carndonagh featured in the national table throughout November, but a further drop was recorded in the incidence rate in the past two weeks.

As of Monday, Letterkenny, Lifford-Stranorlar, Buncrana, Donegal and Glenties all recored below average incidence rates.

Carndonagh and Milford’s Covid rates remain above the national average.

The 14-day incidence rate in Carndonagh now 1473.7 per 100,000 – while the national average is 1,268.4. The 14-day incidence rate in the Milford LEA is now 1423.3 per 100,000.

New case numbers are up in three of Donegal’s seven local electoral areas this week.
