Another dozen drivers were arrested in the past week in Donegal for both drink and drug driving.
A total of eight drivers tested positive for drink-driving and another four for drug-driving.
Garda Grainne Doherty said these incidents come even before the Christmas clampdown begins.
She warned that Gardai will be out in force operating random checkpoints across the county.
“We would appeal to people not to drink or drive or drive under the influence of drugs.
“We have had another twelve people over the limit for drink and drugs in the past week,” she said.
A number of drivers were also arrested for speeding across the county in recent days.
