A young man was injured in an alleged stabbing incident in Letterkenny last month.

Gardaí have today launched a public appeal for information in relation to the late night attack.

The incident occurred outside a bar premises on the High Road in the early hours of Friday 12th November between 2am and 3am.

The victim was hospitalised for serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

Gardaí say there was a large group of 30-40 people present, who weren’t involved in the attack, but may have witnessed the incident. Gardaí are also seeking to speak with two taxi drivers who were at the scene and had a clear view of the attack. One of the taxis was a wheelchair accessible vehicle, gardaí said.

Lead investigator Garda Declan O’Keeffe has “a lot of leads”, a spokesperson has said, and is appealing to the person responsible, or anyone with any information, to come forward.
