Warnings have been issued over flooding on various roads in Donegal this evening.
Drivers are advised to drive with extreme care in East Donegal. Both the Finn Valley and Deal Valley roads are flooded in multiple locations.
Flooding has been reported between Drumkeen and Kilross.
Local councillor Patrick McGowan said Donegal County Council are aware of the issue and working to keep roads clear.
The Navenny Bridge Road is closed, as is the hollow road at Castlefinn.
Drivers are urged to beware loocalised flooding on N15 between Stranorlar and Lifford and other local roads.
Meanwhile in Glenswilly, there are reports of flooding at Glenswilly National School.
Cllr Donal ‘Mandy’ Kelly has alerted Donegal County Council.
“They are on their way to try get this resolved as soon as possible,” said Cllr Kelly.
During the duration of the storm conditions, Donegal County Council are urging road users to minimise their journeys and be aware of road conditions if travelling, particularly in relation to flooding and debris on the road. Should you need to travel, extreme care should be exercised mindful of the conditions. Please be aware of the potential of fallen trees, branches, electricity wires, debris on the roads and walk-ways and flooding in certain areas.
