The Letterkenny Rotary Club today launched their special Tree of Remembrance in the Letterkenny Shopping Centre.
Dedications in the form of yellow ribbons can be made in return for a donation in aid of St Vincent de Paul, Letterkenny Dyslexia Association and Rotary International Charities.
A dedication may be for your own personal intention, for someone who is ill, who has passed away or just simply someone you want to remember now at this special time of year.
The club wants to help charities struggling to maintain their much needed services, particularly this year as no face to face collections were permissible, so your donation to the Tree will make a huge difference.
The tree will be in the usual place on the central aisle in the Shopping Centre, from today until Christmas Eve.
So, drop in and make your dedication with total confidence.
If anyone is fearful of making a personal visit to the tree in light of current Covid virus transmissions, they can visit the Virtual Christmas Tree on the following link: http://letterkennyrotaryclub.givingtrees.ie/ and make your donation there.
This Virtual tree gives you the opportunity to write your messages and, if you wish, you can even share your message with family and friends.
This can be done via email, whats app messaging to let them know, no matter where you are or they are in the world, they are in your thoughts.
All the messages from the virtual tree will be added to the ribbons from the physical tree for a Blessing in the new year at an Ecumenical Service when Covid restrictions will permit.
