The Children’s Ward at Letterkenny University Hospital is set to receive a donation of €2,000 raised at the Clonmany Christmas Tractor Run.

Tractors of all shapes and sizes were decked with lights and Christmas characters before drivers made their way through the village.

The event was hailed as a great success with lots of spectators and very positive comments from all over, including people as far away as Austria and USA who were watching it on live stream.

Organisers were overwhelmed with the amount of people that showed up and put in so much time and effort into their tractors.

“We would just like to say a massive thank you to everyone who came out, all our drivers, our spectators, our Marshall’s and volunteers, our sponsors and everyone who did their bit to make it such a special night for our village,” Organisers said, including a special word of thanks for Garda Mick.

The winners were:

~ Best Decorated tractor – Paddy + Ronan Doherty (Mickey John)
~ Could be seen from space – Corey + Kyle McEleney (Conn)
~Best dressed Driver ~ Conor Lynch
