On St. Stephen’s Day there will be a reunion of the 1996 McLarnon Cup-winning team from De La Salle College, Ballyshannon.
The team defeated St. Eunan’s College Letterkenny 1-12 to 0-12 in a highly entertaining Ulster Final, before going on to contest the All-Ireland Final against St Colman’s College, Claremorris.
On St Stephen’s Day they will dust off the boots once again and take on an All-Star select team of former De La Salle pupils in an exhibition match. Throw-in is at 1pm at the old De La Salle school field. Former pupils and staff of all generations are warmly invited to come along to mark the occasion.
