Mona McSharry continued her record breaking form as she smashed the Irish 100m breaststroke record at the World Short Course Swimming Championships in Abu Dhabi.
McSharry clocked a time of 1:04:22, making it the 5th time she has broke an Irish record at these championships.
The Marlins Swimming Club graduate was the third fastest overall in the semi-final as she finished in second place behind China’s Qianting Tang who finished in a time of 1:03:99.
Sweden’s Sophie Hansson won the other semi-final with a time of 1:04:17.
The final of the 100m breaststroke is on today at 3.42pm
