Irish actress Amy Huberman and rugby legend Brian O’Driscoll are enjoying a Christmas family holiday in Donegal this week.

The couple chose “destination Donegal” after the Christmas festivities and are taking in the sights and scenery of Donegal Town and Rossnowlagh.

Fans and followers of the couple have been treated to some of Amy’s funny observations during their stay.

Finding Joy creator Amy posted a photo of herself and Brian wearing Donegal Tweed caps from local company Hanna Hats with the caption “Tweedledum & Tweedledee”.

She also wrote: “I’ve been calling him Brine O’Driscoll since he did the turkey 5 days ago. I think he’s ready for the holidays to be over now tbh.”

They dined at the Smugglers Creek Inn, where Brian shared a delicious-looking photo of his seafood chowder and Guinness lunch.

Amy also shared snaps from Lough Eske Castle, showing a statue of a woman reading, and said: “Aw naive inner me bringing a book away with me fully believing I’ll get to read it with three kids crawling on my head.”

Donegal locals have issued a warm welcome to Amy and Brian this week.

The Hanna Hats team wrote: “Looking great guys, the caps really suit you both! We hope you enjoy your time in Donegal”, while another fan said: “There’s no place like Donegal”
