Donegal has been hit with a yellow wind warning for early on New Year’s Day.
The Moderate Weather Warning was issued by Donegal County Council following an alert by Met Eireann.
It warns that southwesterly winds will reach mean speeds of 50 to 65km/h with gusts of up to 100km/h, higher in coastal areas and on high ground with localised wave overtopping possible.
The warning will come into affect from 6am tomorrow and last until 9am will all parts of Donegal affected.
