The New Year dinner goodwill initiative has been hailed as another big success in 2022.

The annual dinner delivery took place across Donegal yesterday, bringing delicious meals to 170 people who either live alone or are in need.

Organiser Kathy O’ Connor would like to say: “A big thank you to all the volunteers who showed up today to make the deliveries of the New Year dinner for people on their own and those in need a success. We delivered 170 dinners and reached as far as Bruckless, Donegal Town, Gortahork and surrounding areas.

“Thank you to the soup makers, the dessert makers, those that offered an extra plate, Chamber of Commerce, Chef on a Plate for supplying dinners, Kelly’s Centra, Blood Bike North West for the use of their van, Church of Ireland for the hall and anyone else that helped out in any way.

“I’d like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a Happy New Year.” – Kathy
