Donegal is set to experience a mix of sunny spells and heavy rain today – 2nd January 2022.
The weather will be changeable through the morning before turning much wetter in the afternoon.
Met Eireann is forecasting a blustery morning with sunny spells and scattered showers.
“The showers will become more widespread through the morning and afternoon, becoming prolonged and heavy at times with the possibility of localised flooding.
“Highest temperatures of 8 to 10 degrees in fresh to strong and gusty southwest winds.”
Some heavy and prolonged rain will continue into the night along with the breezy conditions.
Lowest temperatures of 4 to 7 degrees are forecasted tonight.
