Letterkenny University Hospital now has 54 patients being treated for Covid-19, up from 48 the previous day.
The figures have been consistently rising since Christmas Day, having been down at just 19.
There are 3 patients in ICU, with 3 ICU beds free but no general beds available.
LUH is also struggling with a Covid-19 outbreak onsite.
Visiting is restricted to one person, per patient for a visit lasting 15 minutes per day, while there is no access to visitors in the outbreak areas.
As of 8pm on Sunday there are 758 patients in hospitals around the country with Covid-19, an increase of 41 compared to the 717 on Sunday morning. There are 91 Covid-19 patients being treated in ICU.
