A special fundraiser is taking place this weekend in memory of the late Pasqueline Blake and Malachy Keeney from Letterkenny.

Pasqueline Blake (née Keeney) passed away in 2019. Her brother Malachy passed three years prior in 2016.

This Saturday, cousins Conal Doherty and Gabriel Blake, Pasqueline’s son, will lead a half-marathon run/walk between their loved ones’ graves from Conwall cemetery to Rathmullan Graveyard.

A team of 7 runners are taking part: Conal Doherty, Gabriel Blake, John Melvin (carrying it out in Glasgow), Matthew Johnston, Declan McClafferty, Patrick Keeney and Michael Rooney.

All their efforts will be in support of the Donegal Down Syndrome Association – supporting families and programmes in the community.

The team are very grateful for all the donations thus far.

“We did not expect this to get the response it has, and are trying to keep the momentum going,” Conal said.
