People who have had booster vaccines are to begin receiving updated Digital COVID Certificates this week, the Department of Health has announced.
Updated certs will be issued via emails from this Thursday afternoon.
The EU is planning to implement new rules from 1st February that will make Digital Covid certs invalid after nine months after the primary course of vaccination.
“Those who have received an additional dose can expect to start to receive their updated certificate over the coming week,” said Minister Stephen Donnelly.
Minister of State for Public Procurement and eGovernment, Ossian Smyth T.D. added: “This is an important document to ensure a smooth travel experience for anyone leaving the country in the coming months. The updated DCC will contain a QR code, as before, and the cert can be stored on the Covid Tracker App, replacing the old cert.”
