A suspected drug-driver who was caught in Letterkenny yesterday also had no insurance, road tax or NCT, gardaí report.

The driver was arrested in the town on Sunday afternoon after testing positive for cannabis and cocaine.

Their vehicle was also seized on suspicion of not having valid insurance, road tax or NCT.

Gardaí took to Facebook to share details of the arrest and said: “Traffic was heavy in the area at the time of the arrest. So many lives at risk! Please do not ever risk your life or the lives of others on the roads. Never drive while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.”
