A man was viciously assaulted after he was set upon by a gang in the Lifford area.
The man was walking home in the Croaghan Heights area at 7pm on January 12th last.
The man was knocked to the ground and when he fell he received a number of blows after he fell to the ground.
He was also verbally assaulted while he was on the ground.
Garda Grainne Doherty confirmed the man received a number of injuries as a result of the attack.
A number of neighbours came to the man’s rescue and the attackers fled.
Gardai have appealed for anybody who may have been in the area before the attack and may have dashcam footage of the incident to contact them.
