The number of patients with Covid-19 at Letterkenny University Hospital has reduced to 45.
There are two patients with the virus in ICU.
The patient number has dropped by 30% in the past seven days.
Overcrowding and pressure on bed availablity remains an issue at the hospital. As of 8pm Tuesday, there were four general care bed and two ICU beds available. This morning, 34 patients were recorded awaiting admission at the LUH Emergency Department.
NPHET will meet tomorrow to discuss recommendations for easing restrictions, as the peak of the Omicron wave is believed to be reached.
