Donegal Gardai have today remember their late colleague Garda Michael Joseph Lawless.
Exactly 29 years ago today Garda Lawless from Ballyshannon passed away.
Garda Lawless was travelling from his home in Ballyshannon to Dublin to attend a GRA meeting when his vehicle was involved in a road traffic collision near Cliffoney, Co. Sligo.
Sadly, he passed away at the scene.
A Donegal Garda spokesperson said “May Garda Lawless and all of our deceased colleagues rest in peace. We honour their memory everyday.”
