No new Covid-19 related deaths have been recorded in Donegal in the past week, the HPSC reports.
The total number of Covid deaths in the county remains at 235.
A further 49 deaths related to COVID-19 were notified in Ireland this week, bringing the national total to 6,136.
Donegal’s weekly incidence rate has had a notable increase in the third week of 2022.
With 4102 new cases confirmed in the week up to 22nd January, the seven-day incidence rate in Donegal is now 2576.8 per 100,000 – up from 1971.2 in the previous week. Donegal has Ireland’s sixth highest incidence rate of Covid-19 per county.
