LYIT will travel to Dangan on Tuesday for their Sigerson Cup quarter-final tie with NUIG, throw-in at 6:30pm.
Maxi Curran’s side made the last eight with a hard fought 0-7 to 0-6 win over UCD in Convoy on Tuesday night.
NUI Galway are third favourites for the competition, but with LYIT having provided tough competition for favourites UL, with Joel Bradley Walsh scoring a hat-trick, LYIT will fancy their chances of causing an upset.
After their win against UCD, manager Maxi Curran said: “To be sharing the fields with the UL’s and the UCD’s and to be still going is a great testament to the boys and how much they’re prepared to play for their college and how much pride they have in their college.”
