Covid-19: Another 8,631 new cases confirmed

ANOTHER 8,631 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed by Irish health officials today.

The figure includes 8,631 PCR-confirmed cases, as well as 4,759 positive antigen tests registered through the HSE portal.

The Department of Health says that there are now 692 Covid-19 patients in hospitals, of whom 75 are in ICU.

There are 15 patients with Covid-19 in Letterkenny University Hospital.

As of 8pm last night, the hospital recorded 15 patients with Covid-19, including one patient with the virus in ICU.
