People planning to start a career in the movie business have been given an amazing opportunity to work on the latest Liam Neeson film to be shot on location in Co Donegal.

Donegal Daily recently broke the exclusive story that the Hollywood star was going to spend a number of weeks shooting the film in south Donegal.

Now the Donegal Film Office at Donegal County Council has just issued a call for all types of movie trainees for the film.

‘In the land of Saints and Sinners’ will be shot on location in Killybegs and Glencolmcille in March.

Producers have already sent out a casting call for extras for the blockbuster thriller.

Now the producers are looking for trainee crew and new entrants to the movie industry.

Trainees/new entrants will be required across all departments including production, locations, accounts, camera, art department/props, costume, assistant, directors, sound, as well as hair and make up.

These are paid positions and trainees and new entrants will receive bespoke on-the-job training and mentoring as part of their employment.

Applicants must be available to work full-time during late March, April, and early May and live within a 45km radius of the production office in Killybegs.

This is a great opportunity for local skilled talent and people with an interest in the business.

So if you have any experience in the areas outlined, apply directly to email below by deadline of 9th February, 2022.

Applicants must be over 18. Proof of address will be required. Own transport is essential. Applicants must be legally allowed to work in Ireland and must be an EU citizen or have an Irish work permit.

Producers say they are interested in seeing applications from a diverse range of applicants of all ages and backgrounds. Please note your application will be treated with the strictest confidentiality.

If you are interested, please email inthelandofsaintsandsinners@gmail.com and state which department you would like to be considered with a copy of your CV.
