A number of traffic calming ramps have been introduced in the village of Manorcunningham.

Donegal County Council introduced the measures along with a pedestrian crossing and upgrades to local footpaths.

The upgrades follows calls in recent months to make the village safer for pedestrians using the area.

Donegal County Councillor Gerry McMonagle visited the area at the weekend.

He said “I have worked on this for a while now with the local residents so it’s great to see the ramps being installed in conjunction with the new pedestrian crossing and footpaths.

“Manor will be a safer place for residents going forward.”
