A retired teacher from Rosses Community School in Dungloe has taken to the camera to show us all how to really enjoy retirement.

Bernadette Brennan, of Marameelan, Dungloe, stars in the YouTube video ‘A Day In The Life Of A Retired Teacher,’ in which she showcases the daily activities she enjoys doing.

She exemplifies how retirement should be done, whether she’s going to mass or having lunch at The Butterrock.

Past student Eimear Walsh, who is a current first year digital marketing student at the Technological University Of The Shannon – Athlone, directed and edited this production as part of her college course.

“I knew Bernadette was the perfect lady for this project,” Eimear told Donegal Daily.

“She was natural when it came to recording the video, confident and outgoing, and I knew she wouldn’t be shy of the camera.”

Eimear Walsh in conversation with Bernadette.

This fantastic, heartwarming video brought many smiles to the local community and people all over the world as it was shared on Facebook and in Whatsapp groups.

Make sure to watch the video on YouTube, like it, and share it!
