ANOTHER 8,453 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed by Irish health officials today.
The figure includes 3,975 PCR-confirmed cases, as well as 4,478 positive antigen tests registered through the HSE portal.
The Department of Health says that there are now 643 Covid-19 patients in hospitals, of whom 76 are in ICU.
The number of Covid-19 patients in Letterkenny University Hospital has increased to 15 – up from 11 on Saturday.
As of 8pm last night, the hospital recorded 15 patients with Covid-19, including one patient with the virus in ICU.
