A number of motorists have been fined after being caught speeding on the Leck Road in Letterkenny yesterday.
One driver was travelling as fast as 97km/hr in the 60km/hr zone.
The speed check was carried out by the Letterkenny Roads Policing Unit in response to recent reports of speeding in the area.
Gardaí confirmed that Fixed Charge Penalty Notices have been issued to a number of drivers who broke the speed limit, who will now have to pay a fine of €80 and they will also receive 3 penalty points.
