Thieves stole a BMW car in Letterkenny and torched it on Saturday night last.

The distinctive white BMW 1 series coupe-type car was taken from the Gleann Rua estate in the Killylastin area.

The theft of the car happened between 10.20pm on Saturday night and 12.20am on Sunday morning.

The car was later found burned out in the Kirkstown area.

Gardai have appealed for anybody who may have seen this car or may have dashcam footage of the car after it was stolen to contact them.
