Five further deaths related to Covid-19 have been recorded in Donegal in the past fortnight.
The total number of Covid-related deaths in the county is now 241, with twelve being notified in the county in 2022.
The Health Protection Surveillance Centre reports that 6,399 deaths related to Covid-19 have now been recorded in Ireland since the pandemic began. This includes 108 deaths newly notified in the past week (since last Wednesday).
More than half of all deaths are linked to outbreaks, with 2,312 linked to nursing home outbreaks, and 907 to hospitals.
The median age of Irish patients who died with Covid-19 is 82.
