Remember you are not alone.
That’s the message the Relay for Life Cancer Conference will deliver at the event which takes place in Letterkenny on Saturday February 26th.
The conference, which is being staged in the Mount Errigal Hotel, includes the launch of the new support programme for schools and an update on the Letterkenny University Hospital research projects.
The agenda will also detail a decade of advances in cancer treatments, research and support; patients’ experience of a cancer journey; and how counselling can help.
There were will be a video address from the C.E.O. of the Irish Cancer Society, Averil Power, a panel discussion, and a yoga session. And the Relay for Life Survivors Choir will also be performing.
“Our key speakers, who have a wealth of experience and knowledge, will discuss a wide range of engaging topics which we hope will be of great benefit,” said Relay for Life Donegal chairperson, Robert O’Connor.
The conference gets underway at 9.15.a.m. with registration and check-in after which M.C. Charlie Collins will introduce proceedings at 10am.
Events will conclude at 1.p.m. after which lunch will be served.
