Gardai have urged motorists to exercise caution ahead of forecast heavy rainfall.
Met Éireann has issued another Status Yellow rain warning for counties Donegal, Leitrim, Mayo, Sligo which will come into effect at 4pm this evening, and continue until 4pm on Sunday.
“Further poor weather is expected on Sunday/Monday – leave extra time for journeys and drive with care,” a garda spokesperson said.
“Ensure all wheelie bins, trampolines etc. are secured. Should you come across any type of obstruction on the road, please alert Gardaí immediately.”
Meanwhile, gardai have confirmed a local pier car park will be closed tomorrow morning due to a potential flooding risk.
Donegal Town Pier Car Park will remain closed from 6:30am until 9:30am.
