Yellow wind and rain warnings remain in place for Donegal for most of today and motorists are urged to take care on the roads.
According to Met Eireann, it will be very windy and wet today with strong to near gale force westerly winds and severe gusts, particularly near coasts with very high seas leading to some coastal flooding.
Rain will turn heavy at times in the morning with some localised flooding, before clearing southeastwards to showers through the afternoon.
Some showers will be heavy with isolated thunderstorms and hail, with the chance of sleet later.
After a mild start, it will turn much colder as the rain clears with afternoon highs of 4 to 6 degrees.

Lowest temperatures of 1 to 3 degrees, becoming less cold by morning.
