A woman out walking in the popular woods at Stralongford in Drumkeen had her handbag stolen.
The woman left her car unlocked as she went for a stroll in the woods.
The handbag contained a small amount of cash and some personal documents.
Anybody with any information is asked to contact Letterkenny Gardai.
Gardai have again reminded people not to leave valuables in their cars and always to keep their cars parked in a public area and locked at all times.
