Waste paint is now being accepted at all six Donegal County Council Recycling Centres.
There will be a fee of €1 per 5 litre tin of paint for this service.
In the past, such a service was only provided a number of times per year.
Meanwhile, since the start of the month, the centres have also begun accepting soft plastics for recycling.
Soft Plastics include; plastic bags, bread bags, fruit and vegetable bags, crisp bags, biscuit and sweet wrappers, plastic food pouches and parcel packaging etc.
The recycling centres are located at Carndonagh, Letterkenny, Milford, Dungloe, Stranorlar and Laghey.
