Two walkers who got lost in a popular Donegal nature reserve were guided to safety last night thanks to Donegal Mountain Rescue Team.
The walkers were in the Sheskinmore Nature Reserve near Ardara when they became disoriented in the dark.
Gardaí alerted Donegal Mountain Rescue Team, who traveled to the area to locate the walkers.
“After the walkers were located, they were walked out of the nature reserve with the assistance of DMRT, where one was assessed by the National Ambulance Service,” said a spokesperson from the team.
DMRT provide an emergency response, remote environment and extreme terrain, search and rescue service for the County of Donegal in Ireland.
