A well-known pub in Donegal has sadly closed its doors.

O’Donnell’s Tavern Bar in Mountcharles had its last orders on Monday night, citing “ever increasing costs and staffing issues” as the reasons for closing.

The traditional pub also operated a restaurant for food and functions.

However, management says recent struggles have left them unable to continue in business.

The news has been met with sadness from local customers, with many saying they’ll miss out on a great place to eat and socialise.
