Donegal hauliers join effort to deliver aid to Ukrainian refugees

Donegal Groupage in St Johnston is lending its support to a major collection drive to help families forced to flee Ukraine.

The distribution company has joined forces with their leading Pallet Network and other hauliers across Ireland to collect essential items free of charge and deliver them to a distribution centre on the Polish-Ukraine border for refugee relief.

Anyone that may want to help with this is asked to drop essential items into the Donegal Groupage warehouse in Carrickmore, St Johnstone, Donegal, Ph 00353 749148685, Contact Jolene

They said: “No one can fail to be moved by the needless suffering of so many women and children fleeing war, those of us in Logistics have the resources and the ability to help them.”

Essential items are as follows:
– FOOD: Tea & Coffee, Cans with openers ( soups, beans, stews ), Porridge, Rice, Pasta, Sweets, Bars, Food for pets, disposable cutlery and plates
– CLOTHING: Sleeping bags, clean baby clothes, new underwear for ladies, men and children, warm clothing
– HYGIENE: Shampoo, Soap, Toothpaste, Deodorant, bandages, Plasters, Wipes
– OTHER: Toys for children, blocks, colouring books, crayons, backpacks
