Do you have 15 minutes to spare this Saturday to give some pedal power to the fund for Ukraine?
Honeypot Coffee House in Letterkenny is appealing for volunteers to join their spinning bike challenge during their Benefit Day for the people of Ukraine.
There will be a bike in the cafe from 9am to 6pm, with the aim to keep the wheels turning all day to generate support for a bucket collection. The Honeypot team is looking for volunteers to each take a 15 or 30 minute slot. In total they need between 24 and 48 volunteers to fill the slots. Time slots are available from 11.30am onwards, and you can book yours by leaving your name in the comments on this Facebook post (click here).
As well as a bucket collection they’ll have a draw with some fantastic prizes. More details to follow.
Honeypot owner James Green said: “Countless families are being torn apart in Ukraine with many including young children losing their lives and others sustaining catastrophic and life limiting injuries. As many as 500,000 refugees, mainly women and children, in recent days have had to flee their homes, taking refuge in Poland and elsewhere, giving rise to devastating humanitarian consequences.
“We need to stand with the people of Ukraine in their hour of most need. Please come along to our Benefit Day at Honeypot Coffee House in Letterkenny this Saturday 5th March 9am to 6pm and give the people of Ukraine your support. We look forward to welcoming you on the day.”
