The North West 10k committee has a new free t-shirt to mark the 25th anniversary of the charity event which started in 1997.
The commemorative tee is guaranteed for all who enter before the 31st of March.
A North West 10k medallion will also be presented to participants on the day.
Committee Chairperson, Neil Martin, says it is fitting to mark the milestone with a special t-shirt.
It is white in colour with the words ‘25 years on the run’ emblazoned across the chest.
“We’re really proud that the tradition since 1997 of a free t-shirt is continuing now into the 25th year,” Mr Martin said.
“It is part of the whole plan to mark the 25th anniversary, and all those who enter online before the 31st of March are guaranteed what will be a special souvenir from the charity event. A free t-shirt and a medallion for an entry fee of 15 euros is very good value in these times. So I am encouraging runners and walkers to enter online now and support the 2022 benefiting charities.”
Donegal Daily is, this year again, proud to be associated with the NW 10K.
The charities are Spina Bifida & Hydrocephalus Ireland Donegal Branch, the Donegal Diabetes Parents Support Group and the No Barriers Foundation.
A lot of people have done the North West 10k multiple times, either running or walking.
“So, to have the 25th t-shirt to add to their collection of previous t-shirts is something that I think a lot of people will want to do,” added Mr Martin.
“We will have the five sponsors’ names on the back of the t-shirt and the support we have received from Donegal Daily, Brian McCormick Intersport, the Mount Errigal Hotel, Century Complex and the Value Centre has been fantastic again this year.”
Further details of the 25th North West 10k will be announced at the launch on this Monday evening in the Mount Errigal Hotel at 7 p.m.
The 25th North West 10k takes place on Monday 2nd of May in Letterkenny at 11 a.m.
The online entry fee is €15.
